The dE code on your Bosch electric or induction cooktop means demo mode has been activated. In demo mode the cooktop controls respond but the cooking zones will not heat. This mode is used in retail stores. To deactivate it disconnect the cooktop from power by switching off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds then touch any control element within 3 minutes of restoring power.
