By using ErrorCodeDoctor (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Disclaimer. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site. The Site is run by an independent individual operator ("we", "us") — it's a small, still-evolving project, and its content and features may change without notice.

What the Site is

ErrorCodeDoctor is a free, independent reference for appliance error codes. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of any appliance manufacturer. There are no user accounts or paid services — everything here is general information, provided subject to our Disclaimer.

Using the Site

You're welcome to browse the Site and share links to individual pages. Please don't:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract Site content with bots or scripts (normal search-engine crawling is fine);
• Copy, republish, or sell a substantial portion of our content, or build a competing database from it;
• Send an abnormal volume of automated requests, or try to bypass rate limits or security measures;
• Probe the Site for vulnerabilities or try to access anything you're not authorized to;
• Use the contact form to send spam, malware, or false/abusive content, or to impersonate someone;
• Use the Site in a way that breaks the law.

Ownership

The Site's text, design, and original content belong to us. Appliance brand names, model names, and logos referenced here belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances the content relates to — no affiliation or endorsement is implied. Beyond the browsing use described above, we don't grant any license to reproduce or redistribute Site content.

If you send us something

If you submit a correction or message through the contact form, you're giving us permission to use it — for example, to fix or expand our content — without owing you credit or payment. Don't send us anything you don't have the right to share, or that contains someone else's private information without their OK.

Ads and other sites

The Site may show ads, including through Google AdSense, and may link to third-party sites such as manufacturer resources. We don't control and aren't responsible for any third-party site or ad — visiting or interacting with one is at your own risk and subject to that party's own terms.

No warranty, limited liability

The Site is provided "as is," with no guarantee that it's accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or error-free — see our Disclaimer for repair-specific risk warnings. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, and our total liability for any claim is capped at US$50 (the Site being free, you haven't paid us anything more than that).

Restricting access

We may limit, rate-limit, or block access to the Site without notice if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms or pose a security risk to the Site or its users.

Changes

We may change the Site or these Terms at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be posted here with an updated date. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept it.

Disputes and governing law

To the extent the law allows, these Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Site operator resides, and any unresolved dispute is subject to the courts there — without taking away any protection you're entitled to under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country you live in.
