Bosch Washing Machine E17 / F17 / F29 error code

The E17, F17, or F29 error means your Bosch washing machine cannot fill with water at the correct rate. This is caused by blocked inlet filters, a kinked hose, or low household water pressure. The AquaStop safety hose has an electric valve — never immerse it in water when cleaning. Clean the inlet filters and check the water pressure to resolve this.

Common causes

Inlet filter screens in the water supply hose are clogged with sediment
Water supply hose is kinked or blocked
Household water pressure is too low — minimum 2.5 gallons per minute required
Water tap is not fully open

How to fix it

Turn off the water tap

Disconnect the water supply hose from the tap

Clean the inlet filters using a small brush — do not immerse the AquaStop hose in water as it contains an electric valve

For models without AquaStop remove the hose from the back of the machine, remove the filter with pliers, clean it, then reinsert

Reconnect the hose and check for leaks

Open the tap fully and confirm at least 2.5 gallons of water per minute flows from the fully open tap

If water pressure is too low contact a plumber
