The CO error means your LG refrigerator has detected a communication failure between the main control board and the display panel. The control board is the brain of the refrigerator and the display is how it communicates settings and status to you — when they cannot talk to each other the unit cannot operate normally. This is often caused by a temporary electronic glitch and a reset resolves it in many cases. If the error keeps returning after resetting the wiring or one of the boards will need professional inspection.
