OF F is not an error code. It means your LG refrigerator is currently in Demo Mode, also called Display Mode. This feature is designed for retail stores and disables all cooling in both the refrigerator and freezer sections to save energy while the unit is on display. If your refrigerator is showing OF F at home it means Demo Mode was accidentally activated. Nothing is broken — the fridge simply needs to be switched back to normal operating mode, which takes about 5 seconds.

How to fix it

Open either the refrigerator or freezer door

Press and hold the REFRIGERATOR button and the ICE PLUS button at the same time for 5 seconds

The control panel will beep and the temperature settings will reappear on the display confirming Demo Mode is off

Close the door and allow the refrigerator to cool down to its normal temperature — this may take a few hours
