LG Refrigerator (Top Freezer) CL E error code
Difficulty: Hard
·
Cost: $200–$500
·
Duration: Requires professional service
The CL E error means your LG refrigerator has detected a refrigerant leak on the low pressure side of the cooling circuit. This code may also appear as E CL on some models. The low side of the system includes the evaporator coil and the most likely source of the leak is the evaporator itself. Refrigerant leaks are serious — without refrigerant the compressor will run continuously without cooling and can sustain permanent damage. There are no user steps to resolve this error and the unit must be repaired by a licensed technician as refrigerant handling requires specialist equipment and certification.
Common causes
- Refrigerant leak from the evaporator coil
