Difficulty: Easy
·
Cost: $0–$100

The IE error on your LG SideKick pedestal washer means the unit is not filling with water to the required level within the expected time. Check that the water supply tap is open and that the inlet hose is connected and not kinked. The SideKick shares its water supply with the front load washer it sits under — make sure both hoses are correctly connected.
Common causes
- Water supply tap is closed or not fully open
- Inlet hose is kinked, disconnected, or blocked
- Inlet filter is clogged with debris
How to fix it
-
1
Make sure the water supply tap is fully open
-
2
Check that the inlet hose is connected firmly to both the tap and the back of the SideKick
-
3
Inspect the inlet hose for kinks and straighten if found
-
4
To clean the inlet filter turn off the water supply, disconnect the hose from the SideKick, pull out the filter screen, clean it with a small brush, then reconnect
