Panasonic Microwave H90 error code
Difficulty: Hard
·
Cost: $100–$300
·
Duration: 30m
The H90 error means your Panasonic microwave's inverter circuit was shut down by the inverter thermistor because the inverter was overheating. The inverter is the technology that controls the power output to the magnetron. When the thermistor detects dangerously high temperatures it shuts the inverter down to prevent damage. A reset may clear it if it was triggered by temporary overuse, but a recurring H90 requires service centre inspection.
Common causes
- Inverter overheated due to extended heavy use without adequate cool-down time
- Inverter thermistor has malfunctioned
- Inverter circuit component has developed a fault causing excessive heat
How to fix it
-
1
Unplug the microwave and allow it to cool down for at least 30 minutes
-
2
Plug it back in and check if H90 has cleared
-
3
If H90 returns after cooling contact a qualified technician to inspect the inverter and thermistor
