Samsung Dryer 9C1 / 9E / 2E / 9E1 error code
These codes mean your Samsung dryer detected an irregularity in the electrical voltage being supplied to it. This can be caused by using an extension cord, sharing a circuit with other appliances, an incorrectly installed power cord on electric dryers, or using the dryer in a country other than where it was sold. If the dryer is stacked with a washer using a multi-control kit a 9C1 error can appear on the washer if you try to control the dryer within 5 seconds of turning the washer on — a SmartThings software update resolves this.
Common causes
- Dryer is sharing a circuit with other appliances causing voltage irregularities
- Extension cord is being used instead of a direct wall connection
- Power cord on an electric dryer has not been installed correctly
- Dryer is being used in a country other than where it was sold
- On stacked units with multi-control kit the dryer was controlled too soon after turning on the washer
How to fix it

Make sure the dryer is connected directly to a dedicated wall outlet — do not use an extension cord
