The F3 E2 error means your Whirlpool refrigerator detected a problem with the freezer defrost sensor. This sensor controls when the defrost cycle starts and stops to prevent frost buildup on the evaporator coils. When it fails frost can accumulate on the coils and block airflow, reducing cooling efficiency. A power reset clears temporary faults. If the code returns service is required.
