The F3 EC error means your Whirlpool refrigerator detected a problem with the ambient room temperature sensor. This sensor monitors the kitchen's surrounding temperature to help the refrigerator optimise its cooling operation based on environmental conditions. When it fails the refrigerator may not adjust cooling as efficiently. A power reset clears temporary faults. If the code returns service is required.
