LG Dryer d75 error code
The d75 code means your LG dryer detected that the exhaust airflow is approximately 75% blocked somewhere between the dryer and the outside exhaust vent. This is the earliest Flow Sense warning and is a signal that your vent system needs attention soon. At this level drying times will be noticeably longer and energy usage increases. Cleaning the lint trap and checking the exhaust hose will often clear this code before it progresses to a more serious level.
Common causes
- Lint trap has not been cleaned regularly causing restricted airflow
- Exhaust hose behind the dryer is kinked, crushed, or coiled
- Outside exhaust vent flappers are partially blocked with lint
- Lint buildup beginning to accumulate inside the wall ducts
How to fix it
-
1
Remove and clean the lint trap thoroughly — wash with warm water and a soft brush then let it dry before reinstalling
-
2
Reduce the load size to allow better air circulation
-
3
Check the exhaust hose behind the dryer and straighten any kinks, dents, or coils
-
4
Inspect the outside exhaust vent and clear any visible lint from the flappers
-
5
Run the Air Dry cycle and confirm the outside flappers open fully
-
6
If d75 persists after cleaning consider scheduling a professional duct cleaning
