LG Range (Electric) F4 error code
Difficulty: Hard
·
Cost: $80–$200
·
Duration: 5m
The F4 error means your LG range detected a problem with the lower oven thermistor — the temperature sensor that monitors heat levels inside the lower oven cavity during cooking. Without an accurate temperature reading the lower oven cannot regulate heat safely and stops the function. A reset clears it in some cases but if F4 keeps returning the thermistor will need to be inspected and replaced by a technician.
Common causes
- Lower oven thermistor has malfunctioned or failed
- Wiring connection to the lower oven thermistor is loose or damaged
- Temporary electronic glitch causing a false thermistor reading
How to fix it

1
Press the CLEAR/OFF key to clear the error and try the original function again
-
2
If F4 reappears turn off the circuit breaker for the range and wait 30 seconds
