LG Range (Electric) F51 error code
Difficulty: Hard
·
Cost: $80–$250
·
Duration: 5m
The F51 error means your LG range detected a problem with the griddle sensor — the temperature sensor that monitors heat levels on the built-in griddle surface. When it develops a fault the range cannot regulate griddle temperature safely and stops the griddle function. A circuit breaker reset clears it in some cases but if F51 keeps returning the griddle sensor will need to be inspected and replaced by a technician.
Common causes
- Griddle temperature sensor has malfunctioned or failed
- Wiring connection to the griddle sensor is loose or damaged
- Internal fault in the griddle sensor circuit
How to fix it
-
1
Turn off the circuit breaker for the range and wait 30 seconds
-
2
