LG Range (Electric) F52 error code
Difficulty: Hard
·
Cost: $80–$250
·
Duration: 5m
The F52 error means your LG range detected a short circuit in the griddle sensor. This is different from the F51 error which is a general sensor fault — F52 specifically indicates an electrical short in the griddle sensor circuit. When this happens the range cannot safely monitor or regulate griddle temperature and stops the function. A circuit breaker reset clears it in some cases but if F52 keeps returning the griddle sensor or its wiring will need to be inspected and replaced by a technician.
Common causes
- Griddle sensor has developed an internal short circuit
- Wiring to the griddle sensor is damaged causing a short
- Moisture or debris causing a short circuit in the griddle sensor circuit
How to fix it
-
1
Turn off the circuit breaker for the range and wait 30 seconds
-
2
Turn the circuit breaker back on and check if the error has cleared

If F52 persists after resetting the griddle sensor and its wiring needs inspection and replacement by a qualified technician
