LG Range (Electric) F7 error code
Difficulty: Hard
·
Cost: $80–$250
·
Duration: 5m
The F7 error means your LG range detected a problem with the upper oven convection fan — the fan that circulates hot air evenly throughout the upper oven cavity during convection cooking. When it cannot operate correctly the oven stops the function to prevent uneven cooking or overheating. A reset clears it in some cases but if F7 keeps returning the convection fan motor will need to be inspected and replaced by a technician.
Common causes
- Upper convection fan motor has malfunctioned or failed
- Fan blade is obstructed by debris or a foreign object
- Wiring connection to the convection fan motor is loose or damaged
- Temporary electronic glitch causing a false fan error
How to fix it

1
Press the CLEAR/OFF key to clear the error and try the original function again
-
2
If F7 reappears turn off the circuit breaker for the range and wait 30 seconds
