The F87 error means your Panasonic air conditioner's control box overheat protection has activated — the temperature inside the outdoor control box has exceeded the safe operating limit. This protective shutdown prevents heat damage to the electronics. The most common cause is poor ventilation around the outdoor unit. Ensuring adequate airflow around the outdoor unit and clearing any obstructions usually resolves it.
