The Jam Front, Jam Inside/Front, or Jam Rear message on your Brother inkjet printer means paper has become jammed inside the machine. Gently remove the jammed paper from the location shown on the display. Make sure the paper guides are set to the correct paper size. Do not extend the paper tray when loading A5 or smaller size paper as this can cause jams. If Repeat Jam appears paper dust may have accumulated on the pick-up rollers — clean them.

How to fix it

    Gently pull out the jammed paper in the direction shown on the display — do not force it

    Check the paper guides and adjust them to match the paper size loaded

    If Repeat Jam appears clean the paper pick-up rollers — refer to your manual for instructions

    Make sure the Jam Clear Cover at the rear of the machine is closed evenly at both ends
