The Replace Toner or Toner Ended message on your Brother laser printer means the toner cartridge has reached the end of its life and the machine has stopped printing. While memory is available received faxes will be stored in memory. Replace the toner cartridge with a new genuine Brother toner cartridge to resume printing.

How to fix it

    Open the front cover of the machine

    Remove the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly

  3. 3

    Remove the empty toner cartridge from the drum unit

  4. 4

    Install a new genuine Brother toner cartridge into the drum unit

  5. 5

    Reinstall the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the machine

  6. 6

    Close the front cover

  7. 7

    The machine will resume normal printing
