The Self-Diagnostic message on your Brother laser printer means either the fuser unit temperature did not reach the required level within the specified time or the fuser unit is too hot. Press and hold the Power button to turn the machine off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on. Leave the machine idle for 15 minutes with the power on. If you have faxes stored in memory transfer them before turning off.
