LG Dishwasher CL error code
Difficulty: Easy
·
Cost: $0
·
Duration: 1m
CL is not an error code. It means the child lock or control lock feature has been switched on, which disables all buttons on the control panel except the power button and door. This prevents accidental changes to a running cycle. It is commonly activated by accident. The exact button combination to deactivate it varies by model but the most common method is described below.
Common causes
- Child lock was intentionally activated to prevent accidental button presses
- Rinse and Spray buttons were accidentally held down together activating the lock
- On some models the Dual Zone button was accidentally held during a cycle
How to fix it
-
1
Open the dishwasher door and press the POWER button to turn the unit on
-
2
Press and hold the RINSE and SPRAY buttons at the same time for 3 seconds to deactivate child lock
-
3
On some models press and hold the DUAL ZONE button for 3 seconds while the cycle is running
-
4
The CL indicator will turn off once child lock is deactivated
-
5
Note: the exact button combination varies by model — check your owner's manual if neither method works
