LG Dryer Add Water error code

The Add Water display means your LG dryer detected that the steam feeder drawer does not have enough water to complete a steam cycle. Before running any steam cycle the steam feeder must be filled with tap water up to the MAX fill line. If the message appears after a cycle has already started it can be paused, the drawer refilled, and the cycle resumed. Do not use distilled water in the steam feeder as it can damage the steam system.

Common causes

  • Steam feeder drawer is empty or below the required water level
  • Steam feeder drawer is not fully closed after filling
  • A steam cycle was selected without filling the steam feeder first

How to fix it

    If the cycle has not started yet fill the steam feeder drawer with tap water up to the MAX fill line and make sure the drawer is fully closed

    If the message appears during a running cycle press PAUSE to temporarily stop it

  3. 3

    Remove the steam feeder drawer and fill it with tap water to the MAX fill line

  4. 4

    Do not use distilled water — use regular tap water only

  5. 5

    Make sure the drawer is completely closed after filling

  6. 6

    Power the dryer off then back on, select the STEAM cycle, and press START/PAUSE to resume
