The Filter Out display or flashing INSERT FILTER message means your LG dryer detected that the lint filter is not seated correctly in its housing. A sensor inside the dryer monitors whether the filter is properly installed — if it cannot detect the filter the dryer will stop working to prevent lint from entering the drum or exhaust system.
