The U11 error means your Panasonic washing machine attempted to drain but failed to empty the tub within the expected time. This is one of the most common Panasonic washing machine errors and is almost always caused by a blocked drain pump filter, a kinked or clogged drain hose, or a faulty drain pump. The filter and hose are easy to check yourself before calling a technician.
Common causes
- Drain pump filter is clogged with lint, coins, or debris
- Drain hose is kinked, bent, or blocked
- Drain hose end is submerged in water preventing proper drainage
- Drain hose is longer than 3 metres causing excessive resistance
- Drain pump has malfunctioned or failed
- Water level sensor or its wiring has a fault
How to fix it

Locate the drain pump filter — usually at the front bottom of the machine — and clean out any lint, coins, or debris

Check the drain hose at the back of the machine and straighten any kinks or bends

Make sure the end of the drain hose is not submerged in water and is raised at least 10cm above the floor

Check the total drain hose length does not exceed 3 metres including any extension

Open and close the lid to reset the error and try the cycle again
