Samsung Range door error code
Difficulty: Medium
·
Cost: $0–$150
·
Duration: 5m
The door error means your Samsung range detected that the oven door is not fully closed or the door plunger switch is not registering correctly. If the code appears even when the door is closed check the door plunger switch — a round black plastic cap with a pin that should extend about three-quarters of an inch when the door is open. If the plunger switch is stuck or stiff service is required.
Common causes
- Oven door is not fully closed
- Door plunger switch is stuck and not extending correctly when the door is open
- Door hinge has become misaligned preventing the door from closing fully
How to fix it
-
1
Close the oven door firmly and check if the error clears
-
2
If the error appears even with the door closed locate the door plunger switch — it is a round black plastic cap with a pin inside the oven door frame
-
3
Press the pin with a finger — it should move freely in and out
-
4
If the plunger switch does not extend when the door is open or is stiff and cannot be moved arrange professional service
-
5
If the door does not close all the way refer to Samsung's oven door troubleshooting guide
