HP Printer (DeskJet) E6 error code
Difficulty: Medium
·
Cost: $0–$150
·
Duration: 5–10m
The E6 error means your HP DeskJet printer encountered a general error and is in an error state. This is a catch-all error that can be caused by a firmware fault, a failed printer reset, or a serious internal error. Resetting the printer by unplugging it for 60 seconds clears most E6 errors. If the error persists after a reset the printer may need to be restored to factory defaults or serviced by HP.
Common causes
- A general printer error or fault occurred
