LG Dishwasher Long Cycle Time error code

A longer than expected cycle time on your LG dishwasher is not an error. There are three common situations that cause the cycle to extend by up to 30 minutes. On models from 2016 onwards opening the door during the heating section triggers the drain pump for safety and adds time when the cycle resumes. If the rinse aid is empty or set to L0 the dishwasher automatically activates extra dry on all cycles except Normal, which adds time. On all models if the incoming water is very cold the sump heater activates before the main wash to improve cleaning performance, which also adds up to 30 minutes. No action is needed in any of these situations.

  • Rinse aid is empty or set to L0 — extra dry activated automatically adding up to 30 minutes
  • Incoming water temperature is very cold — sump heater pre-heating the water before the main wash cycle

How to fix it

    To prevent the rinse aid extension fill the rinse aid dispenser or adjust the rinse aid setting above L0

    To prevent pre-heating delays make sure the hot water supply to the dishwasher is adequately warmed before starting a cycle
