LG Dishwasher nE error code

The nE error means your LG dishwasher has detected a problem with the vario motor — the motor responsible for directing water flow between the different spray arms during the wash cycle. When it cannot operate correctly the dishwasher stops to prevent poor cleaning performance or damage. A power reset is worth trying first. If nE returns after resetting the vario motor will need to be inspected and replaced by a technician.

Common causes

  • Vario motor has malfunctioned or failed
  • Wiring to the vario motor is loose or damaged
  • Temporary electronic glitch triggering a false motor error

How to fix it

    Press the POWER button to turn the dishwasher off

  2. 2

    Turn off the circuit breaker supplying the dishwasher and wait 10 seconds

  3. 3

    Switch the circuit breaker back on

  4. 4

    Press the POWER button to turn the dishwasher back on and start a new cycle

  5. 5

    If nE returns after the reset the vario motor needs inspection and replacement by a technician
