LG Dishwasher P1–P4 error code

P1, P2, P3, and P4 are not error codes. They indicate that a special downloaded cycle has been loaded onto the dishwasher. Each code corresponds to a different cycle designed for a specific type of load. P1 is for heavily soiled pots and pans, P2 is for greasy casserole dishes, P3 is for delicate glassware, and P4 is a quiet overnight cycle. These cycles are downloaded via the LG ThinQ app and appear on the display when selected.

Common causes

A downloaded cycle was intentionally selected via the LG ThinQ app
P1: Pots and pans cycle selected for heavily soiled cookware
P2: Casserole cycle selected for greasy and heavily soiled dishes
P3: Glassware cycle selected for delicate items
P4: Night care cycle selected for quiet overnight washing

How to fix it

No action is needed — this is a normal cycle indicator not an error

If you want to cancel the downloaded cycle press the CANCEL button and select a standard cycle instead

If you did not intentionally select a downloaded cycle press CANCEL and restart with your preferred cycle
