LG Washing Machine (Front Load) Cd error code

Cd is not an error code. It stands for Cool Down and appears automatically at the end of a drying cycle on LG washer dryer combo models. If clothes are left inside after drying they can develop wrinkles, so the machine periodically tumbles and fluffs the load for up to 4 hours to keep them fresh. The Cd message will stay on the display until you remove the clothes or press START/PAUSE.

Common causes

  • Drying cycle has finished and clothes have not been removed yet
  • Cool down feature activated automatically to prevent wrinkles forming

How to fix it

    Open the door and remove your clothes — the Cd message will clear automatically

    If you cannot remove them immediately press START/PAUSE to stop the cool down tumbling

    No further action is needed — this is a normal end-of-cycle indicator
