LG Washing Machine (Front Load) CL error code

CL is not an error code. It simply means the child lock feature has been switched on, which disables all the buttons on the control panel to prevent accidental changes to a running cycle. This is commonly activated by accident, especially by children pressing buttons. Turning it off takes just a few seconds and requires no tools.

  • Child lock button was accidentally held down during or before a cycle
  • A child pressed and held buttons on the control panel
  • Two-button combination was accidentally triggered on models without a dedicated child lock button
