LG Washing Machine (Front Load) LE error code
Difficulty: Medium
·
Cost: $0–$150
·
Duration: 10–20m
The LE error means your LG washing machine motor has stopped working mid-cycle and cannot turn the drum. This usually happens when the machine is overloaded and the motor is under too much strain, or when a small object like a coin gets trapped between the drum and the tub. In many cases a simple reset clears the error. If it keeps coming back, the motor or hall sensor may need a technician.
Common causes
- Washing machine is overloaded with too much laundry
- A coin, zipper, or small foreign object is jammed between the drum and the tub
- Motor has temporarily overheated and needs time to cool down
- Hall sensor or motor wiring fault preventing the drum from spinning
How to fix it
-
1
Unplug the machine and wait at least 5 minutes before plugging it back in
-
2
Remove some laundry to reduce the load and restart the cycle
-
3
Turn off and unplug the machine, then check inside the drum for any trapped coins or small objects and remove them with pliers or tweezers
-
4
For heavy items like blankets select the dedicated bedding cycle instead of a standard wash
-
5
If the LE code keeps returning after all the above steps contact a technician for motor or sensor inspection
