LG Washing Machine (Front Load) dE error code

The dE error means your LG front load washing machine attempted to lock the door but was unsuccessful. The machine will not run any cycle until the door is securely locked as a safety measure. In most cases a simple reset resolves the issue. If the error keeps coming back after resetting, the door latch or lock assembly may be damaged and needs inspection.

Common causes

  • Door was not closed firmly enough before starting the cycle
  • Laundry or clothing is caught between the door and the rubber gasket

How to fix it
