LG Washing Machine (Front Load) DR error code

DR is not an error code. It simply means your LG washing machine has been left idle for too long and is automatically draining the water as a safety measure to prevent the laundry from sitting in standing water. This happens in two situations — if the cycle was paused and left for 8 minutes without being resumed, or if the machine was turned on but a cycle was not started within 4 minutes. Once draining is complete you can start a fresh cycle normally.

  • Machine was powered on but no cycle was selected or started within 4 minutes

How to fix it

    Wait for the automatic drain to complete — no action is needed during draining

    Once DR disappears and draining is finished you can reload the laundry if needed
