The E6 error means your LG washing machine has detected a problem with the clutch — the component that controls how the drum engages during different parts of the wash cycle. This error most commonly occurs on top load models when a small object like a coin, zipper, or paper clip gets trapped in the narrow gap between the pulsator and the tub wall. Removing the foreign object usually clears the error immediately without needing a technician.

Common causes

  • A coin, zipper, paper clip or other small object stuck between the pulsator and the tub
  • Foreign object jamming the clutch mechanism and preventing normal drum movement

How to fix it
