LG Washing Machine (Wash Tower) drn / OE (dryer) error code

The drn or OE error appearing on the dryer section of your LG WashTower means the dryer's drain hose is pressed, installed too high, or frozen. The dryer collects moisture in a drain hose during drying cycles — if this hose is blocked the dryer cannot complete the cycle. Check and straighten the drain hose at the rear of the unit. To thaw a frozen dryer drain hose pour less than 1 litre of hot water (below 60°C) into the empty lint filter compartment.

  • Dryer drain hose is kinked or tangled at the rear of the unit
  • Dryer drain hose is installed too high
  • Dryer drain hose is frozen due to cold weather

How to fix it

    Check the dryer drain hose at the rear of the WashTower and straighten any kinks or bends

    Make sure the drain hose height does not exceed 1 metre from the floor

    To thaw a frozen dryer: power off, remove all laundry, remove the lint filter, pour less than 1 litre of hot water (below 60°C) into the empty compartment, reinsert the lint filter, wait 30 minutes then power on and press Start/Pause

    If drn/OE persists contact a qualified technician service — the drain pump may need inspection
