The UE error on your LG WashTower washer means the drum cannot balance the load during the spin cycle. The WashTower performs best when the drum is about two-thirds full. Items that should not be machine washed — bathroom mats, carpets, electric blankets, rubber mats, waterproof clothes — can cause severe imbalance and should not be used.

Common causes

  • Laundry is unevenly distributed inside the drum
  • Load is too large or too small — the drum needs to be about two-thirds full
  • Items not suitable for machine washing are inside causing uneven weight distribution
  • Laundry nets are used incorrectly — only 2 to 3 nets at a time, each filled to two-thirds
  • The unit is not level on the floor

How to fix it

    Pause the washer and open the door

    Redistribute laundry evenly in the drum and adjust the load to about two-thirds of the drum capacity

    Do not wash bathroom mats, carpets, electric blankets, rubber mats, waterproof clothes, or rubber-backed items

    Wash blankets using the Duvet cycle and padded jackets using the Sportswear cycle

    If using laundry nets wash 2 to 3 nets at a time and fill each only to two-thirds capacity
