LG Washing Machine (Wash Tower) FF error code

The FF error on your LG WashTower washer means the inlet or drain hoses have frozen. Thaw the washer tub and drain hose using warm water, then thaw the inlet hoses and taps before restarting. To prevent freezing during winter months drain all remaining water from the unit when not in use.

  • Inlet hoses or taps have frozen due to prolonged cold weather
  • Drain hose or the inside of the washer has frozen

How to fix it

    Open the washer door and remove all laundry

  2. 2

    Pour warm water (50–60°C) into the drum and close the door — wait 1 to 2 hours for the drain pump to thaw

  3. 3

    Open the access cover on the lower front and use the residual water drain hose to drain remaining water

  4. 4

    If IE also appears disconnect the inlet hoses, wrap frozen taps with a cloth soaked in hot water for 5 minutes to thaw, and thaw frozen hoses in warm water below 60°C

    Once thawed reconnect and run a Rinse x1 cycle to confirm normal operation

    To prevent freezing in winter: drain residual water from the drain tube, hold the drain hose downward to remove water trapped inside, and remove water from inlet hoses with the taps closed
