tCL on your LG WashTower washer is a reminder to run the Tub Clean (Tub Sterilization) cycle to remove microorganisms and residue from inside the drum. Use an oxygen-based washing machine cleaner — avoid chlorine-based or acidic cleaners. The dryer section of the WashTower does not have a Tub Clean reminder. LG recommends running the Tub Clean cycle at least once a month.

How to fix it

    Make sure the drum is empty

    Add an oxygen-based washing machine cleaner to the tub following the manufacturer's dosage instructions

    For LED type WashTower models touch and hold the Tub Clean button for 3 seconds then press Start/Pause

  4. 4

    For LCD type WashTower models select the Tub Clean cycle from the LCD panel then press Start/Pause

  5. 5

    After completing the cycle leave the washer door and dispenser drawer open to allow the interior to dry

    Run Tub Clean monthly to prevent odor and residue buildup
