The ink cartridge is not recognized or is not installed correctly

The ink cartridge installed is not appropriate for this printer

The ink cartridge is not installed

The ink cartridge cannot be recognized — may be empty, incompatible, or non-genuine

The ink absorber is full — the printer requires servicing

The protective tape or film has not been removed from the ink cartridge

The paper size or media type loaded does not match the print settings
