HP Printer (Smart Tank) E4 error code

The E4 error means your HP Smart Tank printer has a paper jam. Carefully locate and remove all jammed paper from inside the printer then restart the printer. Never pull paper forcefully as torn pieces left inside will cause the jam to recur.

Paper fed at an angle and became stuck in the paper path
Multiple sheets were fed at once
Wrinkled, torn, or damp paper was used
Input tray was overfilled

Open the front door and carefully look for jammed paper inside the printer

Gently remove all jammed paper — do not pull forcefully
